ActiveX Controls

iGrid Control

This is our most powerful grid control for Visual Basic 6 and other COM-compatible development environments. You can use this control for creating flexible grid interfaces with a lot of benefits instead of standard ListView or FlexGrid controls.

The iGrid control can emulate Outlook messages list, including grouping of messages and message preview. The highly optimized display code makes this grid draw faster than MS FlexGrid and other standard VB grids even while it allows more sophisticated displays to be set up: single-line and multi-line textboxes, automatic adjustment dropdown width of comboboxes based on the longest text width of comboitems, checkboxes with two and three states (checked, unchecked and grayed), etc. It is also a good replacement for a ListView in report mode:

The main distinctive feature of iGrid from these controls is the ability to edit its cells using built-in inplace editing features. The "i" letter in the name of the grid means "interactive". Today iGrid allows to edit cells using textboxes, comboboxes and checkboxes. It also provides a lot of useful abilities for fine tuning of the editing process. Among of them are RequestEdit, BeforeCommitEdit and AfterCommitEdit events, properties for key press behaviour control and other.

xDir Library

Thanks to this high-performance component developers can easily

enumerate files and folders in a specified folder and its subfolders
filter file and folder list using one or several of the following criteria:
- file and folder mask (you can use the wildcard characters "*", "?", "#", "[charlist]", "[!charlist]" like in standard VB Like operator)
- size (xDir supports files whose size is bigger than 2Gb)
- attributes including such NTFS-specific attributes as "not content indexed" and others
- date and time of creation, last access and modification
implement context search in file contents using the ASCII and/or Unicode character-encoding scheme
and create folder and file tree (like in Windows Explorer Folders Bar) using information provided by the xDir component

This component is also a good replacement for the standard Dir function in VB.

xDir 2.0 is available in two editions - Standard and Professional. The Standard edition has been compiled as an ActiveX DLL and allows you to gain the highest performance. The Professional edition has been implemented as an ActiveX-exe server and provides developers with the ability to enumerate files and folders in background process using asynchronous mode.

Despite the fact that xDir was compiled in VB6 and requires VB6 run-time library, it can be used not only in VB6, but in any other development environment that can use COM objects. For instance, xDir works well in MS Office applications which use VBA (with UserForms or without them - simply in a program module) and even in the .NET Framework applications on any Win32 platform!

CaptionX Control

It is an invisble at run-time ActiveX control you can use to modify a window's title bar area:

As you can see on the screenshot, due to this component you can place your own clickable icons to the right of a window's standard buttons such as Minimize and Close. You can also modify a window's title (draw it by yourself and place your formatted text and even images) using CaptionX.

CaptionX can be used in VB applications in any version of Windows (96/98/Me/NT4/2000/XP/Server2003) and properly works with visual styles turned on in Windows XP. You can add this component to your forms to extend your applications capabilities without rewriting any line of existting code.

hTooltip Component
hTooltip ActiveX DLL provides you with an easy way you can use to create real native Windows tooltips in your apps. With this library you can create multiline balloon tooltips, adjust their time and view parameters (backcolor, forecolor, internal indents, etc.), insert title and one of the predefined system icons, display tooltips on demand at any specified point.

hTooltip also implements many useful features (such as the MouseEnter/MouseLeave events for your control) in addition to the standard tooltip functionality and can be used not only in VB6 but in many development environments which support COM - Visual Basic for Applications in MS Office, Visual FoxPro, Delphi, the .NET Framework and so on.
