Pricing, Upgrades & Support Policy
Version numbering
Our product version numbers are built using the following format: <major version>.<minor version>.<build number>. Generally new <major version> indicates a new version of a product with big changes and/or enhancements while the changes in <minor version> mean small enhancements in the product. If we release the bug fixes for the product, only <build number> is increased.
Usual pricing & support policy
Generally we adhere to the following rules in our work.
If you buy a new license for one of our products, you get the latest unlocked version of the product and activate your license. Your license is in effect for a period of one year following the date of purchase. While your license is active, you can:
1) Ask questions about the software you have via e-mail requests and phone calls.
2) Report bugs you can find in our software and ask us to fix them.
3) Download any new builds and versions of the product we publish.
(The items 1 and 2 are also known as technical support).
After that 1-year period your license expires, and to continue to use the services listed above, you must renew your license for additional fee. Usually it costs less than the price of the original license.
The unlocked versions of our products never expire, and they continue to work even if you do not renew your license after your original license has expired - you just lose the ability to download the latest builds of the product and get our technical support. You can renew your license at any moment when you need that, not only right away when your license has expired.
Product versions support
It is impossible to support all the released versions of a product, but usually we support the current and previous major versions of the product. We try to fix all the found bugs only in the last minor version of the latest major version of our products. Usually a higher minor version is compatible with the previous ones, so you can upgrade to the most recent build of the supported major version of the product without big efforts. As for the previous major version, only most serious and critical bugs are fixed in it.
