Ordering FAQ

How many licenses do we need and how are your products licensed?

You should buy one license per each developer. However, one developer license allows one developer to use the component on several computers (for instance, at office and at home or on a laptop).

Can I distribute the purchased components with my apps for free?

If you bought one of our controls without source code, you can distribute it with your compiled apps as many times as you need without any additional fee.

If you bought a license with source code, you can distribute the control with your end-user apps in any form. It can be the original compiled form of a component. It can also be a component modified for your needs and compiled into executable code. Finally, you can compile the original or modified code of the component with your end-user app into one executable file and distribute it to your customers as if it were a part of your application written by you from scratch. In all the cases above we do not require additional fee when you distribute our products.

Give me an example of how your renewal policy works

Let's say you ordered our iGrid for .NET v3.5 build 0001 on April 20th, 2007. In this case you will be able to ask our tech support team and download any major/minor version of iGrid.NET for free up to April 19th, 2008.

For instance, if we release a bug fix v3.5.0007 on May 5th, 2007, you'll get it for free. If we release a new version 3.6 with some minor enhancements or new features on June 6th, 2007, you'll also get it for free. And even if the next major update of the control, v4.0, comes out during one year since the day of your purchase, you can upgrade to it for free.

However, your license ends on April 19th, 2008, and even if we release v3.7 on April 21st, 2008, you will not be able to get it for free unless you renew your license.

Of course, our products never expire and are continuing to work properly even if you do not renew your status of registered user.

Do you deliver your products on CD via postal mail?

No, we use only electronic delivery via e-mail as the fastest and easiest way. When you order a product, you receive our registration letter in which you get the instructions where you can download the retail version of the product and how to unlock it. That's all.

Can I use a currency that differs from the one in your price?

Most likely, yes. We collect all the payments through share*it! which allows you to use many well-known currencies to pay for our products. Among them are Pound Sterling, Canadian Dollar, Saudi Riyal, Japanese Yen, etc - more than 40 currencies.

What payment methods can I use and what is the best you recommend?

share*it! allows you to pay using credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club, and JCB are accepted), bank/wire transfer, PayPal, check, cash prepayment, invoice, IPS (International Payment Solutions) and Maestro/Solo (only if issued in UK). Looking at our experience, we can say that a credit card payment is the fastest method - if you pay using a credit card, your order may be processed in 20-30 minutes in the ideal case.

Where can I find out more about payments through share*it!?
