In this release of the help file we completed the description of all iGrid methods. The help file also contains some new useful topics about iGrid programming. Among of them is a topic devoted to iGrid built-in memory manager.

We have started the development of the next version (2.0) of the xDir library. Most likely, new features of v2.0 will include:
 1) Using a separate thread to enumerate and search files.
 2) The Count function that counts files and/or folders before the enumeration process will start.
 3) Using file masks ("*.txt", "*.txt;*.html" and so on).
 4) The Sort property that allows to enumerate sorted lists of files and folders.
 5) Additional frequently used file/folder-related dialogs: FileOpenDialog, FileSaveDialog and BrowseForFolderDialog.
Perhaps, we will also implement a mechanism that allows to get file notification events (when a file or directory have changed).

The next version of the iGrid control is coming soon. The Release Candidate #1 of v2.1 will be published with demo applications at our Web-site in two days. New features of iGrid include full runtime sorting against an unlimited number of columns without writing any code and with displaying column sort icons with numbers (!), custom draw cells, new gridlines styles.

The next revolutionary version of our component has been released today.
New features of iGrid include advanced object model that makes programming of iGrid easier, properties for saving and restoring columns layout, own Memory Manager that can greatly reduce (up to ten times) the amount of time of adding and removing rows and many other useful enhancements.

This ActiveX DLL developed by us is widely used in our applications. Thanks to this component developers can easily enumerate files and subfolders in the specified folder, implement context search in the contents of the enumereated files and create folders tree using built-in events of the xDir component.
